Five armed men robbed an electronic goods shop in Germiston of goods and cash worth about R120000 on Tuesday.

Captain Steady Nawa said the men entered the shop at about 6pm and held up the owner at gunpoint.

"One of the suspects jumped over the counter and demanded cash, which amounted to R98000," said Nawa.

They ordered all employees and customers to lie on the floor while they took airtime vouchers and a cellphone. The men fled the scene in a white van and a white BMW, without firing any shots. - Sapa
