The Ethiopian Episcopal Church Women's Movement will hold the 45th Imbumba Yamanina conference in Johannesburg from September 21 to 26.

The convention is held every two years. This year's theme is poverty alleviation and will explore programmes to combat unemployment, said the movement's president, Fundiwe Nkwinti.

The queen mother Simane Molotlegi of the Royal Bafokeng tribe will be the guest speaker. This is the second time the convention will be held outside the Eastern Cape.
