But the municipality's head of communications services, Ndivhuwo Mamathuba, said it was untrue to say there were water shortages because water supplies had been restored.
"A burst pipe took long to fix because we found the pipes were made of asbestos. We had to replace them, but it took time. They have now been replaced with plastic pipes."
