TUNISIA - Etoile Sahel warmed up for their African Champions League semifinal at the weekend by keeping up their 100 percent record at the head of the league.

Two goals from Sabeur Ben Frej and a third from Seif Ghezal saw Etoile Sahel come from a goal down to win 3-1 away at neighbouring CS Hammam-Lif. Etoile went two points clear of Club Africain, who won 2-1 away at CA Bizerte on Saturday.

Esperance recorded their first win of the season in the second game in charge for new Brazilian coach Roberto Carlos Cabral. Youngsters Sameh Derbali and Wajid Bouazzi netted the goals in a 2-0 win over Jendouba Sports.

ALGERIA - JS Kabylie won 4-2 away at JSM Bejaia to move to fourth place in the standings, the only one of the front runners to win a match in the latest round of the league campaign.

Leaders USM Alger were held to a 1-1 draw at Mouloudia Oran while champions Entente Setif lost their unbeaten record, going down 2-0 to USM Blida. It allowed ASO Chlef to move second after they picked up a point at home to newly promoted AS Khroub.

IVORY COAST - Champions ASEC Abidjan kept up the pressure on leaders Africa Sports after a 3-0 home win over Entente Bingerville. It kept ASEC six points behind their arch rivals but with two matches in hand. Africa Sports beat Sewe Sports 2-0, spoiling the debut of former AJ Auxerre midfielder Didier Otokore as Sewe Sport coach.

CAMEROON - Champions Coton Sport won a vital victory away at Tonnerre Yaounde to stay ahead in the league race with four more matches to be played.

Coton Sport have a slender one-point lead over Union Douala after Joel Babanda converted a 48th minute penalty for the win.

The champions had to play all but the first 24 minutes with 10 men after the dismal of defender Blaise Essombe for a rough tackle. Union were 1-0 winners at Esperance Guider. - Reuters
