The South African Democratic Teachers' Union (Sadtu) in Carletonville, North West, will march to the local police station to hand over a memora-ndum to the department of education this afternoon.

Sadtu chairman Majuba Phobelo said the purpose of the march was to voice their anger over the treatment they receive from the North West department of education.

Other things on the list of demands include erasing the "no work, no pay" principle that applied to about 700 teachers who were on strike; reinstatement of fired teacher Jomo Mogale and uplifting the unfair suspension of two teachers. - Mfundekelwa Mkhulisi
