He was expected to return to Barcelona on Monday, but decided to stay on at the French training camp.
Television channel TV3 and newspaper Sport expressed their surprise yesterday at Henry's decision, especially given that Barca were playing the Catalan cup final last night against second division side Gimnastic Tarragona.
When asked on Monday evening when Henry was going to return, Barca coach Frank Rijkaard looked perplexed and was unable to answer.
