Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts have decided to look no further than home for the replacement for former head coach Kgabo Manamela, who has renewed ties with perennial strugglers Seshego Cannons.

They have recalled the amiable Vincent Seteno to take over the coaching reins.

Wildbeasts have also retained seasoned players Derrick Mahapa and Raymond "Beer" Matlala in the technical team.

"Derrick and Raymond have been part of the technical team in the past and we hope their experience will come in handy for the team," Polelo "Mr Magic" Masola, Wildbeasts' chairman, said yesterday.

"We are happy that Vincent is back as coach and we all know what he is capable of. He helped the team to win the league title in 2003 and we are positive he will repeat the feat this season."

Wildbeasts have also enlisted the services of utility player Dumisani Maringa from Atteridgeville Jets.

The side's experienced player, Abram Matemane has decided to hang up his mitt to concentrate fully on umpiring.

The return of Manamela to Cannons has been hailed by the side's spokesman Joseph "Chief" Motladi.

"Kgabo is a good coach and we could not have asked for a better coach to change our fortunes this season," said Motladi, whose side finished ninth on the log last season.

Manamela, who guided Wildbeasts to third position in 2007-08, registered his second win with Cannons in Mashite on Sunday.

This was in the form of a 10-2 drubbing of Mashite Eagles, a win that lifted them to fifth position on the log.

But Cannons failed to keep a clean slate on the day as they suffered an 11-16 defeat to log leaders Seleteng Giant Killers.

Killers were in an uncompromising mood on the day as they also massacred newcomers Sebayeng Sharks 17-0.

Sharks were also hammered 21-0 by Moletlane Texas.

Eagles drew 11-all against Red Scorpions who had earlier lost 18-2 to Texas.
