Quoting an Internet statement from the group, Al-Jazeera said a branch of the terrorist groupclaimed responsibility for Saturday's truck bomb attack on a naval barracks that killed at least 30 people.
The group also claimed responsibility for Thursday's apparent assassination attempt on President Abdelaziz Bouteflika in the eastern city of Batna, which left 22 people dead.
Most of those who died in Saturday's blast in the port town of Dellys, 70km east of Algiers, were members of the coast guard.
The interior ministry said three civilians also died, and many of the 47 wounded were also civilians.
On Thursday 22 people were killed and more than 100 wounded when a man detonated a bomb in the middle of a crowd waiting for Bouteflika.
In July, the Al-Qaeda-linked group threatened over the Internet to escalate attacks against the "enemies of Allah" in north African countries, warning Muslims to stay away from government sites. - Sapa-AFP
