Moolman takes top honours

Elna Moolman was named South Africa's Reuters Economist of the Year for 2006 yesterday for most accurately predicting key economic indicators in that year. Moolman, 30, who was with Standard Bank in 2006 but has since joined Barnard Jacobs Mellet, holds a masters degree in economics from New York University and a PhD in econometrix from the University of Pretoria. - Reuters
