The Makhuduthamaga municipality in Limpopo has lost one of its senior officials in a road accident.
Johnny Mafemane Mgebisa, 42, died after the car in which he was travelling overturned outside Lebowakgomo on Sunday night.
The accident happened between Polokwane and Jane Furse.
Mayor Queen Mokhabela yesterday confirmed Mgebisa's death.
She said Mgebisa would be buried in his home town Lebowakgomo on Saturday morning.
At the time of his death, Mgebisa was on suspension, but had continued to work.
He had allegedly been asked to continue working as director for technical services by municipal manager Richard Sekonya. - Frank Maponya
