Petrol attendants get wage hike

The National Union of Metalworkers of South Africa (Numsa) said on Friday that petrol attendants have pocketed a wage bonanza of more than a 60percent increase on weekly wages. Numsa said the Minerals and Energy Department in conjunction with fuel retailers industry have agreed to increase petrol attendants' weekly wages from R300 to R509 from next Wednesday. - I-Net Bridge
