RIYADH - Couples who wish to get married will have to undergo compulsory premarital HIV and hepatitis tests beforehand, the Saudi daily Arab News reported yesterday, quoting the deputy minister for preventative medicine, Khaled Al-Zahrani.

Al-Zahrani told the paper that if one partner tested HIV-positive and the couple insisted on getting married, then "the case would be examined with the justice ministry". - Sapa-DPA
