The Emalahleni community is invited to take part in the November 10 charity fundraising tournament that will be held at the Witbank Golf Club in November.

The event, which has been going on for the past four years, is staged in aid of the needy.

Lot Ndlovu, who came up with the idea in 2003, was adamant that it should be staged every year to assist as many charity organisations as possible.

The organisers aim to purchase two houses for the Hospice of the Aids Orphans in Mpumalanga.

Francis Themane, one of the organisers, said they were inviting golfers and non-golfers to this tournament and were also looking at prospective sponsors for the event. He said the main sponsors have been life assurance company Nestlife, who supported the event when it started, and McCarthy Kunene, who came on board last year.

"We expect more donors to come forward to assist us to grow and be able to help a number of needy organisations," said Themane.

"I am sure you will all agree that on a day like this, the more the sponsors, the merrier it will be for the beneficiaries."

The format will be the Individual Points Stableford in all divisions.

The entry fee is R200 a player, which will include a light meal.
