Bidvest Wits University team manager George Mogotsi has vowed "The Students" will prove that beating Kaizer Chiefs in the opening game of last season was no fluke.

The Students inflicted a bitter season-opening defeat on Amakhosi, causing the Peace-loving People to go on the rampage.

The two meet again in a league fixture at Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg on Friday night, in what is bound to be a thriller.

"We beat them in our opening game last season and their supporters went on the rampage, now they have moved the game to Rustenburg, which is our second home," said Mogotsi. "Again they are not used to playing on Friday nights, which is meant for Wits, so they must expect another defeat."

Mogotsi said their major aim was to beat the so-called soccer giants and stamp their authority on the Premiership.

"We're not scared of them. We're going into this game determined to come back with at least a point."

The Clever Boys have assembled a good mixture of youth and experience that produces exciting football. It was not surprising when they beat Orlando Piratesat Milpark last weekend.

Wits have been Chiefs' hoodoo team and it is going to be a tough match for Amakhosi who are gradually finding their feet.

The full fixtures are:

Saturday - Golden Arrows v AmaZulu (King Zwelithini, 8pm); Black Leopards v Platinum Stars (Giyani).

Sunday - Santos v Moroka Swallows (Athlone); Bloemfontein Celtic v Free State Stars (Seisa Ramabodu); Jomo Cosmos v SuperSport (Mehlareng); Benoni Premier United v Ajax Cape Town (Durban).
