Various development soccer coaches employed by Premiership clubs are expected to invade Ratanda tomorrow for the Mille Cup Gauteng provincial finals.
Themba Tshabalala, South African Schools Football Association spokesman, said eight regional winners will participate.
Tshabalala said six schools had already qualified at the time of going to press. They are Transnet Football School of Excellence (Elandsfontein), eSokwazo (Sebokeng), Rosina Sedibane (Laudium), Progress (Pimville), WD Oliphant (Randfontein) and Buhlemfundo (Daveyton).
While the seventh winner was scheduled to be decided in Soshanguve yesterday, the eighth one will be decided today.
Tshabalala said the Johannesburg Central eliminations will take place at Moletsane Sport Complex in Soweto today. The games start at 2.30pm.
Participating schools are Montshiwa (Naledi), Faranani (Chiawelo), Senaoane, Lavela (Zola), Molaetsa (Jabavu), Lancevalle (Eldorado Park) and Sir John Adamson (Southern Suburbs).
Tshabalala said the two schools reaching the finals at Ratanda Stadium will represent Gauteng during the national playoffs in Durban from September 20 to 23.
In Western Cape the provincial finals are scheduled for Pascalsdorp Stadium near George. Participating schools are Marie High, Leeugamka, Cloetesville, Pieter Langerveldt, Nobantu and Manyano.
Moving to KwaZulu-Natal, Harry Gwala Stadium will be the venue for their provincial finals. Schools taking part are Mehlokazulu, Buhlebemfundo, Qophindlela, Thambolini and Sekwethayo.
Four provinces have already decided their winners. They are Riet Rivier and Steinkopf (Northern Cape); East High and Zacheus Malaza (Mpumalanga); Mbodleni and Mzimvubu (Eastern Cape); and Thabiso and Lesedi (North West).
