Bloemfontein Celtic hope to maintain their winning rhythm at the expense of Platinum Stars in a Castle Premiership match at Olympia Park on Sunday at 3pm.

This is after Phunya Selesele won the Telkom Charity Cup after brushing aside Orlando Pirates on penalties in Mmabatho earlier this month.

Celtic went on to beat Ajax Cape Town 1-0 through a late goal by Patrick "Chippa" Malokase after coming off the bench in the second half.

"Our plan this season is to do well as a gesture to our supporters and people of Free State for coming to our games in big numbers," said Malokase.

"Stars are a very difficult side, it is even worse now that they have acquired several players, including Phumudzo Manenzhe.

"They are naturally in high spirits after winning their opening league match of the season [beating Golden Arrows 1-0].

"It is important for us to be consistent after raising the hopes of our supporters by clinching the Charity Cup," said Malokase.

Stars' influential midfielder Stanley Kgatla said they were equally looking forward to snatching a second consecutive win.

"There is no doubt that we are facing one of the toughest matches but we are not intimidated by the fact that Siwelele will also be there in big numbers.

"We are used to playing before thousands of people. From our side, we are working hard to send Celtic back home empty-handed," said Kgatla.

Gifted new Celtic recruit Tumelo "Six" Nhlapo, has settled down quickly, as if he has been in the professional ranks for a long time. The former Majimbos and Amajita midfielder was signed from Harmony Academy.
