The SABS confirmed that they were taking legal action against Latex Surgical Products (LSP). They have instructed the company to recall the above branded condoms.

The Department of Health is recalling the condoms produced by LSP from its National HIV/AIDS supply chain which bear the manufacturer's lot numbers starting with 4308/ZLX/ under the department's Choice brand.

The SABS believed that besides these, all other lot numbers of the Choice brand were safe.
