About 100 girls from the five districts of Limpopo will converge on Polokwane today to learn about the different professions in the building industry.
This is an initiative of the provincial department of public works. The department wants to change the face of the construction industry in the province.
MEC Machuene Semenya said: "As a department we felt that to expedite transformation in the building industry, we need to focus on women while they are still young."
She said the girls would visit construction sites including the Peter Mokaba Stadium in town.
