Road runners will converge on Malelane on Saturday where two races will be stage.
Deon Valks, chairman of the Onderberg Marathon Club, the organisers, said: "The inaugural races will comprise the Inkwazi Powerade 10km and Fanta 2km fun run."
The races are part of Inkwazi shopping centre's third anniversary celebrations.
"This race offers a unique medal, an exciting route, excellent prize monies and lots of spot prizes up for grabs," said Valks
The fun run ought to be entertaining for casual runners and school pupils.
All proceeds from this race will be donated to Malelane primary schools.
The 10km is aimed at serious athletes and is expected to draw an array of the province's emerging and top athletes.
The 10km race will start at 7am while the fun run will start at 7.05am at the centre.
