Cameroon side Astres Douala must brace themselves for a serious Mamelodi Sundowns backlash at Loftus tomorrow evening.
The two teams meet in a Confederations Cup mini-league fixtures with Astres propping up Group A and Sundowns still in with a chance to qualify for the final.
Sundowns go into this game on the back of an embarrassing 2-1 loss at the hands of unfancied AmaZulu, who survived relegation by winning the playoff final last season.
Sundowns coach Gordon Igesund, though, has warned people not to read much into his side's midweek loss. He blamed the defeat on complacency.
"We won that game before we even played it and as a result we made schoolboy mistakes and were punished. I am not one to single out players but one of our players made a terrible defensive mistake and we were punished.
"I fielded the same team that beat Bloemfontein Celtic 4-1, but you would have thought they were two different teams," Igesund said.
He is positive, though.
"I spoke to the players and I don't need months to rectify the mistakes we made. I will rectify those in two days and we will be ready for the Cameroon team.
"The players know that they let themselves, their supporters and me down and that has to be corrected on Saturday," Igesund said.
But by yesterday he had not gathered much information on the visitors.
"I am expecting to receive their DVD sometime today. I have spoken to some people who have played against them. I expect a very physical game," Igesund predicted.
If Downs collect the maximum three points tomorrow, they could be at the top or second on the table on Sunday, depending on the outcome of the match between TP Mazembe and CS Sfaxien in Kinshasa.
Sfaxien lead the group on four points with Mazembe and Sundowns on three points but the former have a better goal difference.
The most favourable result for the Brazilians would be a draw in Kinshasa and a win at Loftus.
