The nightmare continues for the widow of Pule "Ace" Ntsoelengoe, the soccer legend who died under mysterious circumstances 14 months ago.

Thato Ntsoelengoe revealed exclusively to Sowetan yesterday that she is "stressed" by unending calls from women who claim to have children by her late husband.

"Fifteen other women have come forward claiming that Ace fathered their children," said Thato yesterday.

She believes callers - such as Tshepiso Manana from Kagiso - are liars clamouring for a share of Ace's estate.

Manana claimed in City Press this week that Ntsoelengoe fathered her 16-month-old twins, Kutlwano and Kagiso.

"Some of the women claim their children are having problems and need to be properly welcomed into the Ntsoelengoe family," Thato said.

"Recently a 31-year-old man came to my house saying Ace was his father."

None of the callers has, however, taken her advice to meet with her lawyer.

"All they do is harass me. Whenever I receive such a call, I always refer them to my lawyer so that they can lodge a formal complaint," she said.

"But they do not do it. I am sick and tired of playing this game. It is not fair to me or my children."

Thato has two daughters by Ace - Ofentse, 13, and Boipelo, five.

Manana claimed she met Ace when she was young. She alleged she had a miscarriage at 17 after Ace kicked her in the stomach during an argument.

In May last year, Ntsoelengoe was found dead in his car outside a hotel in Lenasia, south of Johannesburg, after a night out with a woman.

Meanwhile, Bonny Zulu, a 42-year-old married woman from Kagiso, has tried to pour cold water on claims by Manana, 27, that Ntsoelengoe is the father of her twins. "Manana also called me claiming my husband had fathered her eight-year-old son Mokgomotsi and she wanted him to maintain the child.

"I told her where to get off. She has since stopped harassing me.

"I want to reassure Ntsoelengoe this girl is lying. All she wants to do is cause heartache and humiliation."

Sowetan can confirm that the twins have been maintained by Israel Rakubu. On Monday, Manana withdrew a court case against Rakubu demanding an increase in maintenance to R1000 a child.
