Hip-hop star Kanye West had to hold his tongue when British royals Princes William and Harry started discussing bling with him.

West has publicly denounced the term, declaring: "Only white people and older black people say 'bling' now. If a white person uses slang too early, then that makes them look like a wigger. But if black people use slang too late, then it makes them look like a wigger."

But when he met the two princes at the Concert For Diana in London last month, West couldn't bring himself to tell the royals that bling was no longer cool.

"I didn't have the heart to tell them that I'm anti-bling," said Kanye. -Wenn
