Paul Matthews, chief scout for National First Division (NFD) side, University of Pretoria believes that the four Coca-Cola Football Stars youngsters they have signed have what it takes to play in the league.
All four players, who are 17 years old, have signed two-year contracts.
The players are right winger Doctor Skhosana from Zacheus Malaza Secondary School in Mpumalanga, central midfielder Andile Jali from Magahla High School in Eastern Cape, central attacking midfielder Vuyani Tamte from Harmony Academy in Free State and right back Njabulo Ntusi.
Matthews said being part of the programme, which ended with a trip to Spain to compete in a series of friendly games against Real Madrid development teams, gave him an insight into the talent and mental maturity of each youngster.
"The final four players were those I believe are most suited and will benefit from being at our centre. Each player has his own unique quality and it is now up to them to take advantage of the situation and progress to the next level," said Matthews.
The four players were part of the 16 youngsters who went to Spain.
