A doctor who wrote a letter to Mbeki, accusing health minister Manto Tshabala-Msimang of turning a blind eye to the crisis at Frere Hospital, has been suspended.

Nokuzola Ntshona yester day said that Luvuyo Mosana, the chief executive of the hospital , suspended her on Monday "for talking to the media".

"Mosana ordered me to make a presentation to the national assembly's health committee during its visit last week.

"I never invited the journalists, they came with the committee," she said. - Sapa
