De Croche and promoters Mbali Zantsi and Kenosi Mlabateki entered into an agreement last week that his fighters would be paid in dollars before their fights.

Zantsi, Mlabateki, Mpofu, Ngatane and Khumalo then rushed to the dressing rooms to negotiate with De Croche. That took almost two hours.
It was then that Gugu Nyembe, an employee at BSA, phoned MacTaggart, who needed less than five minutes to convince De Croche.
The latter has been working with Golden Gloves, bringing fighters here, for 13 years. But his three fighters were soundly beaten.
This fiasco reflected badly on Khumalo, who has just taken over as BSA's CEO.
