Ngobeni, 20, who hails from Tshiawelo in Soweto, was voted by the public as the newcomer that contributed the most to domestic football last season.
The national Under-23 team utility player walked away with a whopping R50 000 and a trophy.
He beat other contestants including Orlando Pirates' Teko Modise, Marco de Jesus (Bidvest Wits), Thuso Phala (Kaizer Chiefs), Bernard Parker (Benoni Premier United), Petrus Mahlatsi (Bloemfontein Celtic) and Eleazor Rodgers (Santos).- Meshack Khotha
