An Orlando Pirates supporter was killed and 14 people were injured in a head-on collision on the way back from the Telkom Charity Cup against Bloemfontein Celtic in Mmabatho on Saturday night.
Pirates PRO Mickey Modisane, pictured said Sonnyboy Sello, a member of the Roodepoort supporters branch, died at the scene of the accident when the minibus he was travelling in collided with a BMW on the road between Mmabatho and Lichtenburg .
Among the injured, who were admitted to Mafikeng Hospital, were four other Pirates fans:
l Wellington Leeba, who sustained serious head injuries.
l Sizwile Tsikane, who suffered a fractured shoulder and serious head injuries.
l Seko Motsemme, who dislocated his shoulder, and
l Rodney Gobuamang, wo was discharged with minor injuries on Sunday morning.
