Two South African students died and one was seriously injured in a car crash in Hyderabad, India, yesterday, said the Department of Foreign Affairs.

Two South African students died and one was seriously injured in a car crash in Hyderabad, India, yesterday, said the Department of Foreign Affairs.

The three had been on their way back to their campus in Hyderabad, where they were studying Information Communication Technology, said Foreign Affairs spokesman Ronnie Mamoepa. The students who died were from North West and the Eastern Cape, he said.

"A third student, from Gauteng, was admitted to the Hyderabad City Hospital's intensive care unit with serious injuries," Mamoepa said.

Their names were being withheld until their next-of-kin had been informed. - Sapa
