The Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust Hotel can compare with the best establishments in the province.
Situated in KaNyamazane Valley, about 20km from Nelspruit, the hotel is conveniently close to the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport and about 60km from the Kruger National Park.
Having stayed there for only a day, I fell in love with the place.
The plush accommodation is guaranteed to make you feel like royalty. As with all good hotels, the stylish and luxurious rooms have bar fridges and televisions.
The hotel serves delectable meals at its restaurant, both a la carte and buffet, and drinks at its bar.
Their buffet breakfast menu is out of this world as far as taste and choice are concerned. But the formal table menu will make you dizzy with its array of choices.
The hotel also provides professional conference centre facilities that can compare with the best in the province.
The warm temperatures and the natural beauty of the Lowveld were additional bonuses.
The empowerment-through- training trust contributes extensively towards the development of hospitality and tourism in the province.
The trust is registered with the Mpumalanga Education Department as a further training development project. Its focus is the implementation of the Skills Development Act of 1998. The trust is a registered Section 21 company and provides short-duration training.
The Mpumalanga Regional Training Trust Hotel was one of three training structures established in 1993. Its brief was to provide training for unemployed people. In addition, it also provides training for employees of small- and medium-sized enterprises.
Since its inception, the trust has been involved in short duration training for more than 18000 people in Mpumalanga, Gauteng and Limpopo.
Headed by a board of directors, it has 42 full-time staff and operates out of six centres, including its own training facilities.
Besides hospitality and catering, short-duration training has been provided to unemployed and under-employed people in bricklaying, plastering, painting, plumbing, electrical work, project management and business studies.
