Leopards build bridges

Fulufhilo Thidiela, Black Leopards' chief executive, said they will use their youth team's visit to Mpumalanga to build a relationship with the people of the province.

The Lidoda Duvha Under-19s will be hosted by Mpumalanga SAB Castle Regional League campaigners Matsulu City Movers at Matsulu Stadium at 3pm on Sunday.

The game is part of the Makwetla Development Annual Soccer Challenge, a newly established initiative that is organised by the Mpumalanga Youth Sports Organisation (Myspo).

Golden Magagula, Myspo coordinator, said the intention is to expose talent in Mpumalanga to top-flight football.

Thidiela said: "They have requested a senior team but the date coincided with our Mopani Mayoral Cup participation, so we decided to send the junior team."

The senior Leopards, along with SuperSport United, Jomo Cosmos and local amateur side Selwane Sundowns, will be competing in the yearly Mayoral Cup in Giyani on Sunday. - Richard Nkosi
