Three people were arrested for public violence during a service delivery protest at municipal offices in Mamelodi East in Pretoria yesterday, police said.

Inspector Paul Ramaloko said those arrested had organised the march. He said police used rubber bullets to disperse the crowd of about 100 after they failed to cooperate with police.

No injuries were reported.

The protesters gathered outside the municipal offices yesterday morning and then forced their way into the offices.

Ramaloko said the protesters had dispersed by 4pm. He said the protest was illegal. - Sapa
