The International Broadcast Centre (IBC) for the 2010 Soccer World Cup has been placed in Johannesburg, following a decision by the cabinet yesterday. Cabinet spokesman Themba Maseko said the decision followed consideration of a report from the Local Organising Committee that recommended Johannesburg. Maseko said: "The IBC will enhance South Africa's migration into the new model of high-definition television and new broadcasting technology." - I-Net Bridge
