The books are Soweto '76: Reflections on the Liberation Struggle, The Womens' Freedom March of 1956 and Sowetan: Celebrating 25 Years of the Soul Truth. Gradwell also won a surprise special gift of advocate George Bizos's memoirs, Odyssey to Freedom. The two other winners were Elizabeth Bond and Nomasonto Sosibo. Gradwell and Bond are from Gauteng and Sosibo is based in KwaZulu-Natal.
