Fears for missing man

Frank Maponya

A Limpopo family is living in fear that a family member, missing for more than a week, may be dead.

Matsobane James Molomo, pictured, a hospital maintenance worker from GaLedwaba village near Lebowakgomo, has not been seen since he disappeared on July 10.

Police are treating the case a missing person, but his family is worried he was kidnapped.

Though R38000 was withdrawn from Molomo's bank account in separate withdrawals shortly after his disappearance, no ransom demands have apparently been made.

Superintendent Mohale Ramatseba, confirmed receiving a missing person report. He said police were investigating.

The missing man's brother Jonas Molomo, said several unknown men surrounded his brother when he withdrew R1500 at an ATM. They allegedly forced him into a car and sped off.

Molomo said his brother's bank records show a withdrawal of R35 000 was made the day in Brits in the North West the day after his disappearance.

Another withdrawal of R3 000 was made in Lebowakgomo a day later.
