Generations actor Seputla Sebogodi appears to be acting out his character of a troubled married man in real life.

Like in the popular soapie, Sebogodi, 45, is ending his marriage and has told his soon-to-be former wife and Pretoria cop, Leonette Olyn, that she will get nothing from his estate.

Earlier this year Sebogodi sent Olyn, 27, cellphone text messages telling her that their marriage was over.

As wealthy media owner Kenneth Mashaba in Generations, he gives his adulterous wife Dineo the boot for sleeping with his son. He also kicks her out of the Mashaba mansion without a penny.

But in the soapie the divorce never materialised as Kenneth and Dineo battle to kiss and make up.

In real life Sebogodi has just married, by customary law, wife number five, but his divorce from number four Olyn has yet to be finalised.

But Sebogodi refuses to sign the divorce papers in which he is required to agree to pay R3800 monthly maintenance to Olyn. He is also required to give 50percent of his casting company to Olyn.

According to the Department of Home Affairs' website records, Sebogodi and Olyn were married on June 21 2005.

This week Olyn poured her heart out to Sowetan.

"He is running away from his responsibilities. He said I would not get a cent from him and he would rather resign from Generations than give me anything."

She said Sebogodi gave her clothes and linen away without her consent, and gave her R2000 as compensation.

Olyn said Sebogodi's new wife had accused her of claiming he was a cheat.

"He did cheat. I used to get calls from a woman when we were married, telling me she was with him," said Olyn.

"If this woman does not realise what Sebogodi did to me, it will happen to her, then she is dumb. He ended our marriage with an SMS."

Sebogodi refused to comment on the issue.
