Consumer confidence dropped slightly during the second quarter of this year from a record high in the first quarter, a survey by First National Bank and the Bureau for Economic Research found. The FNB-BER consumer confidence index dropped 2 points to 21 from a record of 23. FNB said it expects the index to drop further because the second quarter results did not reflect the impact of higher interest rates or petrol prices. - I-Net Bridge
