Gauteng police were yesterday still searching for a 36-year-old woman who was forcibly taken from a liquor store on the Vaal Rand.

Captain William Mcera said Xoliswa Jali was last seen at a liquor store in Walkerville on Saturday.

Store employees told police that Jali was "forcefully" taken from the store by her 37-year-old former boyfriend.

"Jali was picked up forcefully by her ex-boyfriend . he was aggressive when he took her from the liquor store," Mcera said.

He said both Jali and her former boyfriend had not been seen since.

"We searched his home and found some blood stains there.

"We are now calling in experts to see if they can tell us anything," Mcera said.

Jali was described as being fair in complexion, about 1,5m tall, and weighing between 50kg and 60kg.

Mcera urged anyone with information on Jali's whereabouts to contact him on 082-575-1887. - Sapa
