Sascoc plans to meet the soccer federation this week to discuss the circus that resulted in the withdrawal of several influential players for the All Africa Games.
"This is totally unacceptable, I will be meeting Molefi Oliphant [Safa boss] this week to discuss the matter," said Moss Mashishi, president of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee.
Mashishi came out guns blazing at Team South Africa's send-off function in Tshwane on Friday night where he accused some of the clubs of being unpatriotic.
"This is shocking, uncalled for and unpatriotic. I just can't understand what is really happening. We announced the team on June 16," said a furious Mashishi.
"Nobody said anything to us. We find it unacceptable that Safa only informed us about the changes at the 11th hour when the team is supposed to leave.
"This is not the first time that the Under-23s' technical staff have been forced to chop and change the team because of the club owners' refusal to release the players.
"What about the country. We can't only talk about Africa when we only need the other countries on the continent to support us when we are bidding to host competitions.
"Safa can't say to us that their hands are tied on this matter... as the PSL is their member. We really need to be serious about the Under-23s; the All Africa Games help us to prepare for the Beijing Olympics."
On Friday, only 12 players attended a training session at the University of Johannesburg sports ground with Bernard Parker, Tsepo Masilela (Benoni Premier United) and Sibusiso Hadebe (Jomo Cosmos) being the only prominent professionals.
In a statement last Wednesday, Safa blamed the clubs for refusing to release the players.
