Unfairness in honours for musicians

Not enough has been done to honour musicians who contributed towards the emancipation of South Africans.

Not enough has been done to honour musicians who contributed towards the emancipation of South Africans.

I would like to see Lucky Dube and Blondie Makhene being honoured. My heart feels sore when I see people who have been in the music business for six months being recognised at the expense of musicians who risked and gave their all in the music industry.

I suggest that in the next Samas they be bestowed with lifetime achievement awards.

To make the Samas more inclusive, reggae, indigenous and other types of music should be recognised.
