LAGOS - Gunmen attacked an oil installation yesterday in Nigeria's restive southern oil heartland and seized five expatriate workers, private security officials said.

Police were investigating a reported incident .

Officials involved in protecting oil company staff in the Niger Delta could not give further details on the seized workers.

A top militant gang, whose one-month ceasefire ended on Tuesday, said their group was not responsible. - Sapa-AP
