It is true that good things come to those who wait.

The wait is over for those who have been wanting BMW to release a good-looking 1 series.

The new BMW 1 series is heading in our direction before the end of the year.

Featuring high-performance petrol and diesel engines, this new model begs the enthusiast to enjoy sporting moments in everyday traffic. Conceived as a 2+2-seater, its luggage compartment is separated from the passenger cabin and the rear-seat back rest offers a 60:40 split.

This top-of-the-range model is recognisable through the slightly modified M Aerodynamics package featured as standard.

The additional spoiler lip, or gurney, at the rear is powered by BMW's 3litre straight-six twin-turbo technology and second-generation direct gasoline injection. The maximum output of 225kW and peak torque of 400Nm offers everything to set new standards in driving dynamics.

BMW has successfully rounded off its model range at the lower end of the market with the introduction of the first, and only, rear-wheel drive model.
