Parts of Orlando East in Soweto were last night still without electricity because of a cable fault.

Eskom spokesman Nora Mmusi last night said the root of the fault was not immediately known. It was the fourth day of darkness.

But, she said, technicians were busy attending to the matter and electricity would be supplied through backfeeding.

"It means we will supply electricity through another transformer to the area," she said. -
