Lions-Sharks pick of bunch

The second weekend of the Absa Currie Cup will be full of action with some mouth-watering clashes scheduled.

The second weekend of the Absa Currie Cup will be full of action with some mouth-watering clashes scheduled.

The weekend's main attraction will be the Lions-Sharks clash at Ellis Park tomorrow. Both teams chose not to play any warm-up games before the start of the tournament but the Lions showed their worth when they performed admirably in their first game against Western Province last weekend.

The Sharks had a bye and will be playing their first game of the tournament.

Today, the Falcons have their second difficult game in as many weeks and their only consolation when facing the Free State Cheetahs will be that the game is played at their beloved Bosmont Stadium in Brakpan. The Boland Cavaliers will host Western Province at the Boland Stadium tomorrow. - Sapa
