Several initiates were sodomised and others were assaulted during a robbery on a koma, an initiation school, in Limpopo by a local gang.

The group allegedly entered Khemphophotho Koma School in Bolobedu, near Tzaneen, held the initiates hostage and demanded money.

Police confirmed the incident and said they were investigating. Spokesman Miyelane Shikwambane said no arrests had been made.
