MinMec is an organisation that consists of Makhenkesi Stofile, the minister of sports and recreation, and the nine sports MECs.
Kirsten Nematandani, committee chairman, said they wanted to work closely with all the three tiers of government on their projects.
"We have identified the government as one of the partners because we will be approaching them on the issue of funding for the identified projects.
"We also encourage the formation of provincial and regional structures who will work with their municipalities.
"Our committee has sent out a questionnaire to the regions to tell us their needs, they obviously have different needs.
"We are also working on the establishment of provincial trusts to look after the facilities after the World Cup. Money accrued from the usage of the facilities should be used for maintenance and development projects.
"The money will also help in terms of maintaining those facilities. The other thing that we are jealous about is the brand of Safa.
"We are aggrieved that there is no mention of Safa when people talk about the 2010 World Cup. Mentioning Safa will also lure more sponsors into the federation. Right now there is very little going into football," said Nematandani.
