Grammy Award- winning gospel artist Donnie McClurkin will be hosted in South Africa in August by Eagles Christian Centre.

Regarded as a teacher, healer and entertainer, the singer has endeared himself to gospel lovers all over the world. He will give four concerts at various venues.

Johannesburg can brace itself for the first sting on August 7 at the Mosaiek Theatre. Durban fans can catch him on August 9 at the Durban Christian Centre.

McClurkin will then perform at His People's Church in Cape Town before returning to Johannesburg for a performance at the Eagles Christian Centre Church in Sandton.

The Reverend Elias Ndeda, senior pastor of the Eagles Christian Centre and McClurkin's host, said: "It will be a heavenly experience no one should miss."

McClurkin performed in South Africa in 2005 and promised to return.

He appeared with pastor Benny Hinn at The Dome in Northgate, Johannesburg, where he gave an emotional performance.

McClurkin will perform songs from his latest album Psalms, Hymns and Spiritual Songs and other previous releases such as Live In LondonAnd More.

McClurkin tries to sing in the language most spoken in the country where he goes to perform and incorporates this style on his CDs.

On the track Language Medley from his latest album, he mesmerises South Africans when he sings Nkosi Sikeleli Afrika.
