But we never do anything about it. We need to bring to the attention of the government the plight of children in need, for them to get the necessary assistance.
The Children's Act of 2005 calls for the delivery of a wide range of services to children at risk and children in need of care and protection.
The Department of Housing, with the Department of Social Development, is finalising a policy on assistance to households affected by the death of guardians or parents.
In the creation of sustainable human settlements, the priorities are the provision of houses, security and comfort to all beneficiaries.
We hope the story of Thulani and Vusi will rally all of us to look at our neighbours, and see how we can help . Often we just have to make a call to the nearest government office for them to receive help.
