Officials from the 147 governments that have ratified the World Health Organisation's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control are expected to attend the meeting, called to review the implementation of the convention.

Yussuf Saloojee, director of the National Council Against Smoking, said negotiating a protocol to stop the illicit tobacco trade was on the agenda. - Sapa
