A butchery was robbed in Davenport, Durban, yesterday, police said.

A butchery was robbed in Davenport, Durban, yesterday, police said.

Inspector Michael Read said seven armed men entered Dirk's Meat Market in the Davenport Centre and stole a cash box containing an undisclosed amount of money. The men fled on foot.

"Police responded to the incident and managed to arrest two men involved in the robbery," Read said.

No one was injured and police are still looking for the five other robbers. - Sapa
