It is disgusting and a shame that the party of Robert Mangaliso Sobukwe, the PAC, continues to push itself into political oblivion.
The PAC has suffered protracted political misfortunes of internal crises. Crises of poor leadership, poor organisational structure, political bankruptcy and indeed the inability to manage internal dynamics.
The current political wrangling in the PAC spells doom for the organisation.
I don't care whether Motsoko Pheko has been involved in nefarious activities within the PAC. What I am worried about is how they have managed the crisis.
How on earth do you expect donors, sympathisers and some philanthropists to come to the rescue if party members are busy rubbishing each other in public? How do you expect the disillusioned members of both the ANC and Azapo to find a political home in the PAC when there is so much upheaval?
The current leadership of the PAC, under Letlapa Mphahlele, must deal with its problems in a mature manner.
The PAC cannot afford to be a laughing stock. It needs to take its rightful place and fight for power.
That was the hallmark of Sobukwe, who fought for his people until the last days of his life. It is now up to us to follow in his footsteps.
